The Arena of Arms (TAA)

Overview

The Arena of Arms (TAA) is Emberstone’s national milsim league, founded under King Masdrin De’Endar. It blends serious martial sport with entertainment spectacle, making it both a proving ground for rifle sections and a cultural juggernaut for fans.

The league runs two parallel tracks:

League Structure

Teams

Teams are built around 12-man rifle sections (fielded as 2–3 fireteams), but rosters may run deeper. Some squads use specialists for certain scenarios (fast sprinters for Running Gun, breachers for Barricaded Suspect).

Teams design their own uniforms and camo patterns – functional kit but often highly stylized for identity and merch.

Titles and Trophies

Mistwood’s Magnificent

Masdrin’s exhibition team, the Harlem Globetrotters of the Arena.

Mr. De’Endar

Masdrin’s kayfabe persona in the Arena: a grinning, fedora-wearing villain with cloak, gold buttons, and a damascened Raptor 4 Ranger. He embodies every accusation Felderian propaganda throws at him – evil, warmonger, liar, cheater – and exaggerates it for show.

Signature Antics:

Mr. De’Endar only interferes in one or two matches per night. The Ladder is protected by Charter; he never touches it.

Kayfabe Roles

Presentation & Performance

The Arena openly embraces its theatricality.

Charter of Forbidden Tricks

After the controversial Hornet’s Nest Incident, Masdrin issued a League Charter banning anything that could cause real harm.

It provides:

Winning the Championship Belt makes a team legendary. Surviving Mistwood’s Magnificent makes them immortal.
