REMC Signals Card (Trench / Friendly-Side)

Scope: Signals observed over FRIENDLY trenches or from FRIENDLY positions. Note: Signals intended over ENEMY trenches are mission-briefed case-by-case.

A) Always-Valid Emergency Flares

(These are the only “fixed meanings” that do not change.)

  • RED (single): GAS / MASKS ON / SEAL POSITIONS
  • WHITE (single): MEDIC REQUIRED AT THIS POSITION (non-urgent)
  • WHITE (two quick): STRETCHER TEAM REQUIRED (urgent)
  • GREEN (single): CEASE FIRE / HOLD FIRE (friendly movement or recovery party)
  • GREEN (two quick): FRIENDLY RAIDERS RETURNING / DO NOT FIRE INTO NO MAN'S LAND
  • BLUE (single): LINE CUT / RUNNER REQUIRED / PHONE FAILSAFE ACTIVE
  • YELLOW (single): FIRE MISSION REQUESTED (pre-registered target) - SEE MAP KEY

B) Authentication (Anti-Spoof)

Rule: No flare is acted on alone if enemy interference is possible. Confirm via ONE of:

  • Field phone challenge/response (daily)
  • Runner with written chit (unit mark + time)
  • Pre-briefed “pattern of the night” (color + count + spacing)

C) Mission-Briefed (Filled per Action)

Action Name: <OP NAME> Window: <TIME START> to <TIME END>

  • Signal to BEGIN: <COLOR / PATTERN>
  • Signal to ABORT: <COLOR / PATTERN>
  • Signal to SHIFT LEFT: <COLOR / PATTERN>
  • Signal to SHIFT RIGHT: <COLOR / PATTERN>
  • Signal to LIFT FIRE: <COLOR / PATTERN>
  • Signal to RECALL RAIDERS: <COLOR / PATTERN>

D) Notes

  • Do not trust captured wire, captured phones, or enemy trench infrastructure.
  • Wire is cheap. Lives are not.
  • Drow/Elven night overwatch: assume enemy probes are possible at all times.
