The Masdrinyovka is Emberstone’s standard model of modular apartment housing, commissioned under King Masdrin De’Endar. Designed by engineers to his mandate, it delivers rapidly constructible, durable, dignified homes without reducing residents to statistics. Masdrinyovkas appear in cities, towns, Homestead Estates, and on noble domains; they are the baseline standard of living across Emberstone’s mosaic.

Reikan immigration after the Five-Year War cemented the name. Reikan veterans and their families received fast-tracked citizenship, housing, and stipends; in their own tongue they dubbed these buildings “Masdrinyovkas” — effectively “Masdrin’s communities.” The name stuck.

• Heights vary by site. Estates are generally 3 stories; cities commonly 5. Builders adjust to ground, access, and demand.

Materials & System

• Brick, stone, and prefabricated ornamental panels
• Built from dozens of modular pieces (walls, doors, balconies, rooflines, ornament)
• Even three adjacent Masdrinyovkas look distinct yet unmistakably of the system

Apartments

• Bachelor to 3-room layouts
• Each unit has a balcony or garden-level door, proper kitchen and bath, high ceilings, large windows
• Even the smallest flat is considered “company-worthy”

Courtyards

• Central, green, shaded; a fountain is standard
• No barren/paved voids; the courtyard is social infrastructure

Ground Floors

• Dedicated to essentials: grocer, bakery, tailor/cobbler, small services
